Welcome to GameBox. By accessing this website and renting products from us, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
General Terms of Service
1. User Accounts
To rent games, you must create an account and provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
2. Rental Agreement
The rental period begins exactly when you receive your order and ends on the date the product is returned to our custody. Late returns will be subjected to additional daily fees as per the pricing policy. All rented equipment remains the property of GameBox.
3. Rental Extension Policy
We understand you might want more time to conquer the game! Please note that only one extension is allowed per order. If you wish to extend your rental period, please note the following policy:
- Separate Payment Required: The rental price for the extended period must be paid by the customer separately via UPI or payment link.
- No Deposit Deduction: The extension charges cannot be deducted from your security deposit. The security deposit is held strictly for potential damages or loss and cannot be used to pay for rental extensions.
Let's say you rented a game for 3 days and paid a ₹300 security deposit. On the 3rd day, you decide to keep it for 3 more days.
If the cost for 3 extra days is ₹99, you must pay this ₹99 directly to us. We cannot simply reduce your security deposit to ₹201. Your full ₹300 deposit remains locked until you return the game safely.
4. Promotional Offers & Gifts
From time to time, GameBox may offer free gifts, merchandise, or promotional items ("Gifts") with rental periods of 15 days & above, particularly for Day One releases. GameBox may provide small gifts as a token of gratitude for rental periods below 15 days.
- Availability: All gifts are subject to stock availability. We do not guarantee the availability of any specific gift item. "Valid while stocks last" applies to all physical promotional items.
- Substitution: GameBox reserves the right to substitute a gift with another item of similar value or cancel the gift offer without prior notice if stock is unavailable.
- Non-Transferable: Gifts have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or rental credit, and are non-transferable.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall GameBox, nor any of its officers, directors, and employees, be liable to you for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website, whether such liability is under contract, tort or otherwise. Any disputes arising shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Gurugram for the resolution of any disputes.
7. Right to Refuse Service
GameBox reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at its sole discretion, including, without limitation, if GameBox believes that customer conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to our interests.
Shipping & Refund Policies
1. Serviceability and Delivery
Our services are available only in specific, serviceable pincodes. Delivery times are usually around 1-2 hours post order confirmation. Orders received between 10 pm to 9 am are confirmed and shipped the next day. GameBox is not liable for any delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (Force Majeure).
2. "Day One" Release Shipping
The availability of titles designated as "Day One" releases is contingent upon the timely receipt of stock from our authorized distributors. While GameBox endeavors to dispatch these titles immediately upon the official launch date, shipment timelines are subject to variation based on supplier delivery schedules. We cannot guarantee delivery on the exact launch date if external supply chain delays occur.
3. Refund Policy & Security Deposits
Security deposits are fully refundable upon the successful return of the rented item, provided there is no damage or late fees. Refunds are processed within 24 hours of the item reaching our warehouse. If an order is cancelled before shipping, a full refund will be initiated immediately.
4. Responsibility for Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Games
The user is liable for any damage, loss, or theft of rented equipment. In the event of damage, GameBox will assess the repair costs, which will be deducted from the Security Deposit or charged to the user.
4.1. Definition of Damage: Damage includes deep scratches that affect gameplay, cracks, breaks, severe cosmetic defacement, or water damage. Minor, superficial scratches are considered normal wear and tear.
4.2. Financial Liability: In the event a game is returned in a damaged condition, or is lost, the user is liable for the full Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of the game.
4.3. Security Deposit Forfeiture: If a security deposit was paid, it will be forfeited and applied towards the MRP of the damaged/lost game. The user will be billed for any remaining balance.
4.4. Ownership: Upon payment of the full MRP for a damaged or lost game, the user may keep the damaged item.
4.5. AI Manipulation & Unboxing Proof: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or digital editing tools to simulate or fabricate damage evidence is strictly prohibited. In case of any defects or faults reported upon delivery, your claim will only be processed if you provide valid, uncut video proof of unboxing and taking the game out of its original packaging.
